چکیده

We investigated the stability of certain erythrocytic enzymes as assayed qualitatively by fluorescence spot tests. Preservation of the activities of glucose6-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPD), pyruvate kinase (PK), triose phosphate isomerase (TPI), glutathione reductase (GTD), and NADH diaphorase (ND) in heparin, glucose-EDTA, or Alsever’s solution was studied at -20#{176}C and 30#{176}C. In Alsever’s solution, GPD, PK, GTD, and TPI are stable for 25 days at 30#{176}C, whereas ND is stable for only 10 days at either -20#{176}C or 30#{176}C. The stabilizing action of Alsever.s solution permits either large population sampling before testing or a sufficient time period for transport of samples to a central laboratory for processing.

Assessing Stability of Gold Nanoparticles in Presence of Two Enzymes, RNaseA and RNaseH, Using Colorimetric Detection

Gold nanoparticle-based diagnostic methods have attracted much attention due to their simplicity, high sensitivity and low cost. These methods are mostly used for early and efficient detection of various pathogenic factors and assessment of gene expression and nanoparticles stability. In this study, melon plants were cultured in vivo and then, RNA was extracted from leaf explants. A 40 bp probe...

Functional Movement Screening Tests for the Prediction of Injuries in Volleyball: A Qualitative Study

Background. There is little evidence to support the comprehensiveness of FMS in sports populations to predict injuries. Ignoring rapid decelerations and high eccentric forces which may be characteristics of high risk for injury are evident in these tests. With this in mind, it seems logical to use tests to assess the performance of athletes so as to evaluate speed components as well as to ident...

Development of Screening Test Battery for Volleyball Players: A Mixed Method Study

Purpose: Design and development of functional movement screening in athletes are one of the important measures taken for reducing the injury in professional sports. Today, functional movement screening aimed at identifying athletes susceptible to injury is designed and implemented based on fundamental functional patterns and the performance of that particular sport. Currently, there are no stan...

The Relationship Between Dynamic Stability and Functional Movement Screening Test

Purpose: Recently, the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Y Balance Tests are used to assess the key movement patterns, dynamic stability and to identify individuals at high risk of injury. But, there are few studies to assess the relationship between the FMS test and Y Balance Test. This study aimed to assess the relationship between dynamic stability and the FMS test. Methods: The subjects...
